Among other functions, Rwanda Law Reform Commission ensures proper drafting and translation of Rwandan laws in official languages throughout the legislative process. In this regard, RLRC carries out the following responsibilities:
- Review draft laws prepared by other State organs before they are submitted to the Cabinet for approval;
- Ensure proper drafting of laws and harmonisation of languages from the preparation of a draft law to its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda;
- Prepare draft laws for laws that need to be made or reformed.
