RLRC WORK IN QUARTER 1 OF 2023-2024 SO FAR
Rwanda Law Reform Commission is one of the institutions in the justice sector and its mandate is to review Rwandan laws with a view to ensuring their development and reform. RLRC oversees the management of databases of laws of Rwanda on both its official website and www.amategeko.gov.rw. RLRC is responsible for the analysis of Rwandan laws, the drafting of laws prepared by various state organs before they are submitted to the cabinet and the harmonization of languages, among others.
Quarter 1 of 2023/2024 fiscal year has had RLRC work on various draft laws and amendments. As a technical organ, RLRC makes sure that Rwandan laws are up to date and available to the public without delay. In quarter 1, RLRC made 22 new laws available on its platforms, both on www.rlrc.gov.rw and www.amategeko.gov.rw. These laws were precisely in official gazettes that were published in that time frame (JULY-SEPTEMBER)
