Remembering former employees of MINIJUST, MINITRAPE and MINISTRANSCO

Today on the 30th June 2022 the staff and management of Rwanda Law Reform Commission visited Kigali Genocide memorial and paid tribute to the thousands of lives that perished during the 1994 Genocide Against Tutsi in Rwanda.

They were given a detailed history of the Genocide Against Tutsi, the liberation process and the peace and reconciliation initiative that was built after RPA stopped the genocide. The Kigali Genocide Memorial is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.

After this visit, RLRC staff joined the Office of the Prime Minister, MINIJUST and MININFRA in the remembrance of former government employees who worked for MINIJUST, MINITRAPE and MINITRANSCO who were massacred during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

The Prime minister Edouard Ngirente reminded that it is fair to commemorate all the government employees who were killed during the genocide and build a conflict and genocide free nation.
